Day 60 here! Dear Lord, please help me through this day. Please keep my hands and my mind occupied with healthy things. Please keep my thoughts and desires away from that which poisons.
Come what may, (hopefully continued sobriety) these 60 days have been among the absolute best of my life.

Just thought, Benji arrives here tomorrow from 30 days and under.
What say we all hide and jump out to suprise him when he walks in.
Horselover you hide behind the curtains, Negman behind the door,Liberty you go under the couch, I'll kneel down with a sheet over me and a vase of flowers on my back and pretend to be a table.
Everyone else hide upstairs and keep really quiet.
Most importantly don't tell him its a suprise.

Welcome TT. Man, a 32 page 1st step. That's one heck of a document. It also sounds like a great foundation for your recovery. Congratulations!
Well, it's the last night before Benji arrives. I'll take up my hiding place, and then we'll all jump out and say "Surprise! No Scottish Allowed!"
Seriously, I'm looking forward to our numbers growing. I'm really grateful for all the progress from everyone, including me! I feel good about my sobriety today.
Rock on everyone. On to day 52 for me tomorrow.

Hi everyone,
Just stopping in to say hi. I remember that when I joined here many of you were in the 2 weeks and under thread. I haven't managed to make it out of there yet, but I hope you all know you are an inspiration to us. I hope to be following in your footsteps soon. Keep up the good work!

Oh great...everyones gone...i've been waiting ages to earn my stripes to get in here...and they've all left...probably in the under 90's...wonder if they've left any grub? ...no...oh well...better just go to Vegas on my own then....
Hi Cola...it took me a fair while to get here...lots longer than 30 days in the bigger scheme of things. I have recently read Alan Carr's book on drinking...it helped me loads...it goes against the 12 steps...and is a viable alternative...horses for courses and all that...if you can't get hold of a copy i'll gladly send you mine.
Take care.
Ben.
Take care.
Ben.
San Diego is beautiful today!!!
Hehe. My story? Well I am a mess. No, not really, not today.
14 years ago I checked myself into rehab for an addiction to meth. I spent 90 days there and I have never touched meth again I worked a pretty rigid program for the first couple of years and then I moved. I did not connect to the program in my new community, so I figured I would just go on about my life.
The about 10 years ago I decided I was "cured" and that I could drink because alcohol was NEVER my thing. (Though I come from a family of alcoholics). So....as you can imagine my addiction got progressively worse. I bottomed out (UGLY story) in the beginning of May and today I have 48 days sober. Woopeee!!
I am willing and open. I have attended a meeting nearly every day, I have a sponsor, I just finished a 17 page first step, I make coffee at two meetings, I read the book, I pray please in the morning and thank you at night, and I call my sponsor every day. I am NOT taking any chances! I am doing EVERYTHING that I am told
I feel very blessed that I have discovered a really wonderful AA fellowship in my community! So, that is my story. One day at a time.
What about you Benji?

What about you Benji?
12 hours I knelt under that tablecloth and the moment I nip to the loo in Benji comes and settles in, see he's claimed the remote for the telly as well !!!!!!
Good to see you've made it here Benji, I've read Alan Carr's book as well and liked his thinking, gets my vote.
Day 48 for me, welcome to our little gang TT, the more the merrier.
