60 DAYS and UNDER CLUB
Hey all! Welcome Benji. We would love to have you over here. You have an awesome wit. I stopped counting the days lately, but I'm 4 days behind Fizzy and so go figure. I have been day to day lately. I'm not sure why, but I'm riding the wave for now and its definitely a day to day, hour to hour, minute by minute issue lately. Hopefully it will pass, but if not it better make me stronger.
You go Negman and encourage the others. I still remember you popping in and raising my spirits in the 2 weeks and under thread. It does help.
By the way Liberty, I loved your post and can so identify with the urge, but thankfully its just an urge to drink. I agree about the boredom part and I too try to keep busy. The ranch I volunteer at is going to get sick of me soon. My son's in a summer program from 9 am to 3:30 pm and so I have a lot of free time. Went horseback riding yesterday morning, laundry and today cleaning. Quite lovely, eh? Tomorrow or Thursday I spend time with the horses. Get to do some mucking of the stalls. Best part is the grooming though.
Take care everyone.

day 41
I find counting days helps me, but I can see how Horselover would stop. I wonder at what point I get to before I stop counting.
As I've bored you with many times, 70 days is the longest I've managed to stop for in the past, that was last year long before I knew SR existed. Apart from that 5 days was the best I did apart from this shot.
I know I'll keep counting days until at least 70 ( If I make it, there I go again, always got to look ahead ). Reckon there must come a time you just stop counting though.
Don't see people posting 10 years sober, starting with, Day 3658 !!!!!!!!!!!
Good to see you back Benji, thought you'd ran out on me.

Hi! I am new to this forum.
My sobriety date is May 2, 2008.
I had a good year in 2007 with mainly alcohol free days, but I am dead serious about quitting this time around.
Thanks for having me here.

Ha ha. That's right. If we end up getting tempted, let's keep our math in mind. If one of us relapses, I won't know how many days or weeks I had!
I finally got around to getting my 30 day chip today. Yay. Actually on day 46. Feeling good, even though I've got a cold. Two meetings for me tomorrow, plus some writing. A good Friday upcoming. Good night everyone!

Day 1
Today is day 1 for me. I've joined the forum to hopefully help me make sure this is the first day of the rest of my life. I'm quite scared, nervous and hoping against hope I have the will power to do this.

Hi Cedar - Welcome and please stay. We welcome your company.
Hi Fizzy - So you are at day 43. That would make me 43 - 4 = 39 days. We are doing pretty good, huh?
Hey Negman - You just got your 30 day chip. Better late then never! Negman is 43 + 4 = 47 days.
Congratulations Negman and Fizzy. Well done.
Just think Cedar, pretty soon you'll be doing the same thing. I mean you'll be adding up all your sober, free, happy, clear thinking days too!! Go for it. Can't wait to see your posts everyday.

Day 44
Yeh Horselover aka minusfour, I'll give us pretty good, reckon us and Negman aka plusfour have still got a long hopefully sober journey ahead though.
Hope we all keep it going, I like Negman leading the way and your good self bringing up the rear leaving me safely in the middle.
Hope you had a good night Cedar and that your still safely with us.

Day 48 down. I went to a bar to meet some friends tonight. It was harder than I thought it would be! But I made it.
Coming down off my pink cloud a little bit. Got to get back into the swing of life. I've been isolating too much lately.
Go go Fizzy, Horselover and tangram. Let's rock on!

End of day 45, sunday night, another sober weekend.
How nice to be going to bed for a restful sleep then back to work in the morning.
Not that I'm looking forward to going back to work, but I'm not currently in a panic cos theres no way I'll be sober in the morning, I won't be up early morning being sick, I'll be able to eat breakfast and I can drive without the fear of being caught over the limit.

Ha-ha Horselover, that was my first thought too: "I can't wait until I'm at 60 days!!!"
Future-tripping. Glad to be getting through day 49. Congratulations DSodaNow.
An AA friend just called and cheered me up. Yay AA friends! Be well everyone.
