We have so many new members...yea!
I thought it might be fun to share on
how you picked your special Avatar.
I am using my first summer one.
I change often...because I like variety.
I love the warm weather and want to celebrate summer.

I don't know if anyone remembers my original one. It was VERY Scary ugly.
But I thought it was funny. Anyway, I changed it to something peaceful. I LIVE at the beach. (Not really right on it, but we go all the time.) I call it my Church. My avatar is a photo I took there. Just one of many of the peaceful scenes I get to enjoy on a weekly basis.

I change my avatar pretty often, and since one of my hobbies is amateur astronomy I try to stick with a space related theme.
I'd like to use a pic of myself with my kids or our puppy, but I'm so technically challenged by digital cameras and pictures that I can't figure it out!

I think that calvin and Hobbes was the best cartoon ever. I use this one because that is somewhat my mantra to people. Just calm down, take a deep breath and don't scare the kiddies.

Mine looks like my 1st adult size bicycle. We lived in the countryside in England and my dad bought it off the postman. It was very old. The brakes didn't operate with cables but instead had a combination of steel rods and levers.
I did love that bike.

I like sea turtles. I fell in love with them while in Hawaii. Honu is a green Hawaiian sea turtle. I think it's neat that they always find their way home, no matter how far they travel.
They also have a shell, to retreat to....maybe that's not so good for me!! LOL
