OMG, I'm on day seven. I cannot remember the last time I was sober that long!!!

Yesterday I had a day off and went to Antwerp with my girl. We had an excellent day, a day that I could not have enjoyed much if I wasn't sober.

I'm starting to accept myself as an recovering addict, and that most friends and familiars don't understand what that means. Starting to make my own plans about my own life, not seeking to conform myself with others.
I'm slowly starting to meditate more again. His whole higher power thing is not my style, but by meditating my mind get's steadier and more focused.

One day at a time, now I'm off to the gym.

Life in recovery isn't always easy, but I've sure found it a heck of a lot better than my "best" day when using!

And guess what? It gets better!
