fifth day!! (in a long long time!!)

it's good to be sober. So far i'm succeeding in taking it one day at a time (again and again lol). the first few days i've been sweating and hardly sleeping at all, but this night has been my first good rest in a long time.

I think i'm truely ready for recovery,

I think i'm truely ready to say no to addiciton, and no to addicted 'friends' and familiars,

I now that five days is a very good prestation, but on the other hand it's only five days, recovery and my addictive personality is something that will be with me for the rest of my life. So, this is only the beginning.

For now i'm focussing on working, i switched back two months ago to an easier job, so that i can keep my mind focused on things that truely matter = staying sober. It pays a little less, but right now this choice is saving my life, so money isn't really important.

In my free time, I'm often alone, or with my girlfriend, I made a 'social priorety list', she;s my number one, then family and then the few sober friends I have.

I gotta go to work now,

love to you all,

5 days is a big deal!!!! Congrats on 5 days, keep taking it one day at a time. If you would be interested in expanding the number of sober friends you have you may want to consider an AA meeting, every one there is an alcoholic who is sober or working on getting sober.
