Slipped.

I drank last night after 4 weeks sober.

I ask myself why?
Was it because it was a nice sunny afternoon and a Beer was just the thing?
Nope,it was because i'm an alcoholic.
Maybe a nice 4 pack of weak alcohol, who was i trying to kid?
12 strong cans and a half bottle of vodka later i'm throwing money at poker sites, shouting at my girlfriend putting my fist through a door and throwing a bottle of vodka at the wall, seem like unreasonable behavior to anyone?

The remorse is unbearable.

Many alcoholics have false starts before
we found a solution to our disease.

What is your plan for a new start?

Yes! you too can recover and emjoy life.
Millions of us do just that daily.

Plan?
I will go to an AA meeting this evening,i started going a month ago but stopped after 2 weeks,i will try harder this time and not be so lazy.I have learned from this experience, and next time i think about a drink i will think back to the last time i had a drink.

Wolf, I think you're making progress - at least you didn't get up, have a "hair of the dog" & go off on a binge like I've done in the past. You came right here today - probably feeling miserable - and posted about what happened, a very good sign. I have almost 4 months sober, but what it took to get here is ridiculous. I finally stopped with the remorse and guilt. They served their purpose in the beginning, but after that it's just damaging to keep kicking yourself. You know what you have to do, you know you will do it - just a question of when.

Good plan...:)
This time please find a sponsor and start Step work.
I consider Steps were the beginning of solid recovery for me.

Hi Wolf, yep we have all been there. Like Hevyn said, the main thing is you havent turned it into a binge. Just start again, AA is good too. :)
