This is day 73 for me and I am beyond cravings for alcohol, infact I rarely think about it.
Each night I pray. I turned my alcoholism over to the Lord and I attribute the fact that I am doing so well to the power of prayer.
It is a good thing that I am not drinking as I am on numerous meds for fibromyalgia. 6 of my meds indicate that I should not combine them with alcohol. That wouldn't have stopped me before and I would probably not be around to tell about it.
I have missed a lot of work due to my illness and have had my arm poked for blood so often that I feel like a pin cushion because the doctors think there is more to it than just the fibro. due to my high Rheumatoid factor.
I take one day at a time and am really quite positive. I may not be well, but I am sober and that keeps my chin up.
Thanks for listening.

In my initial post I failed to mention that all of you here at SR have played a big part in my sobriety. I am thankful for all the support and advise I receive here.
SR and prayer are my program. Without either one I dont know where I would be...
