desperate for help

I'm a 35 yr female who has been addicted to heroin on and off for ten years now
most of it off but...

i can't handle using the local services here cos it will affect the job i'm training for if i tell my doc -i've set myself up to do an at home withdrawal with a reducing dose of di-hi-codeine and i have a weeks valium but what i don't have is any outside support -

I'm just getting my head round the fact that i'm here again but want to be clean soooo much -
i'm also gonna try to do a couple of days work this week -
any one up for helping - please - this is no joke and i'm sitting here crippled
kinda feels a bit like this

Oh dear Karma, if I could only give you a big huge hug and keep you safe. But you are far away in distance, tho not where the heart is concerned. We are here for you. Please lean on us, your cyber friends, to keep you balanced and on an even keel.

lots of love going out to you...:ghug3:ghug2

thanks all
can't sleep - just reading how other people cope/dont cope - listening to bob marley 'legend' STIR IT UP. - helps to 'light up the dark' as he once said - i didnt realise how many people are in the same place = good luck to all
love 'n' light

woke up yesterday to the news that a friend in thailand on holiday was killed in a motorbike accident a few days ago..
genuinely gobsmacked and from then on the day just got worse - i fell flat on my face - all the buildup and then me.... panicking shaking ran straight to the nearest score -i'm sorry that i've fallen at the first hurdle but i'm gonna pick myself back up and have another go...
i was so inspired by the contact i've already had here.. i'm endeavouring not to let myself down again -

all i could think of last night was how selfish i've been and how the news of mark's death has just slammed it home how much needs to change in my life
i hope others like me are given a day off today from all your pain

if only for a majic wand
take care all

karma -
I'm not gonna pretend I know a thing in the world about detoxing off heroin ...
but detox in any shape.. needs to be well informed. Surely there's a clinic there?
Something quiet?

Have you been down to the substance abuse forums?
maybe there's something there that can help you?
Why not check the stickies at the top of the forum, hon.

You're not alone.
You're not doing this alone.
Not any more.

The majic wand isn't nearly as powerful as your determined mind when you push the right buttons. Think you've found the buttons - sometimes you need to push them real hard, they can be stubborn but the important thing is that you know they are there.

You can do it!!! It won't be easy but from what you've said in your posts, I believe in you because the will is there. The very best of luck, and know that we'll all be here for you wanting you to succeed.

Welcome to SR and keep posting.
