Went to a na meeting last night and will try to make as many as I can.
This is the 1st time doing somethig like this on the computer and it sure won,t be my last...................Peace everyone

Hey Ken. Good to see you. I love this site too. My first time too. I already feel a lot of encouragement from it, which is just what I need. This is an adventure we're all in.
So good luck and stay strong.

Cool, Ken
I found this community vital in the first days and weeks in recovery. Reading and writing kept my lobes busy and the demon at bay.
It is still vital to my recovery and I find that those just starting are a real source of inspiration to me. I take nothing for granted except that one beer will lead to the consequences I read about every day.

Welcome to SR!
This IS a great place. I post on various forums because I "fit" in a few different categories. I haven't been through anything that someone here hasn't helped me through. It's a comforting feeling to know you have friends all over the world, who really understand what we're going through.
Keep reading and posting.
Hugs and prayers!

You Are All Inspiring!!!!
I am new to this site and decided to finally give this a try after reading all of the support you give to one another. It is extremely uplifting!!! I have taken Vicodin for 3 years now and am ready to start actually living. I used to be so afraid that I would not be as happy or as fun as I would normally be without the pills. That is why I have prolonged this. Will I really feel better after giving these up?????????

I have no experience with pills, I was an alcoholic, so can't say about the vicodin. I do know that now that I'm not drinking my life is getting better, at least it's less complicated, tho I've some work to do on dealing with the feelings I'd been drowning for the last year.
I am grateful for this site and its caring members. It gives me support any time of day or night.
Keep coming back and posting your progress. There are many different forums here, for lots of different problems. Give them a look and find different solutions for different problems. Lots of good advice on the top of the forum page, called 'stickies'. Lots of info on all topics from pills to pot to alcohol to all sorts of recovery programs.
Keep coming back!:ghug3
