1 year sober today!!!!!!
Thank you all so much for your well wishes. It's been an extremely hard year and I got through it. Someone asked me how it did it and to be honest I don't really know. I tried AA for about 3 months but it didn't work for me. I also suffer from mental illness, depression, etc... and other weird and wacky ailment but with the help of an amazing psychologist and GP, I made it through. Never dismiss AA. I gained some great inspiration and excellent tips from it, but in the end it just wasn't for me.
Everyone takes different paths to gain sobriety. I'm getting a tattoo tomorrow as a reminder, because if I slip up, all I have to do is look at it and I know that I stayed sober for a year, by doing it one day at a time and by keeping it simple with no grand plans, just one day at a time. I wish you all the best in finding what works for you. Thank you all again and I hope you find what you're looking for.

I really like your approach. Keep an open mind, find what works for you - one day at a time, keep it simple, no grand plans. I tend to overanalyse things. When I lose my focus, I start dreaming of this blissful future or, when I'm in a bad mood, a long, dreary road. Great advice. Thanks.
