10 minute sitting meditation
When practicing sittting meditation it is helpful to bring to the sitting posture it self a sense of dignity with your head neck and back erect but not rigded with the shoulders relxaed with your hands placed comfortably on your lap or knees follow along with my intructions the best you can and use the stretch of silence to practice on your own its fine to sit on a chair or on the floor the best you can commit yourself to be fully awake fully present for these moments if you feel comforatble with it allowing your eyes to gentle close otherwise letting your gase fall unfocsed on the floor or the wall and just tuning in of the feeling of the breath moving in and out of ur body focusing on the senstation of the breath moving past of the nostrils or alternativly of the feeling of your belly expanding gently on each inbreath and recediing gently with each outbreath, allowing yourself to just dwell here moment by moment following the breath as it comes in and as it goes out, and bringing your attention back to the nostrils or to your belly or anywere else you decided to focus on each time you knowtice your mind has gone off somewere else were ever that may be and if the mind wonders off 1000 times you simplyu bring it back 1000 times, ittentionaly cultivating a attidude of pateitnce and gentltness to yourself, this means chosing the best you can not react to or judge any of your thoughts or feelings impulses or perceptions reminding yourself instead that in this work of mindfullness absolutly anything that comes into the field of awareness is okay we simply sit with and breath with it and observe it staying open and awake in the present moment right here right now a continual process of seeing and letting be, seeing and letting go, rejecting nothing, prosueing nothing dwelling in stilness and calmness as the breath moves in and out,
and before getting up you might find a value to commit urself right here and now to carrying this wakefullness with you throught out your day rembering you can touch base with your breahting in any moment and there by bring some mindfullness and calmness and clarity into to that moment of your life when and were ever it is as it is unfoldijng and affirming as well the importance of regualr and formal practice if possible everyday
sorry if spelling is off
