Thanks to SR and theonlyway
Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for the posts in the part 1 of "under two weeks" from 51Anna. I am on day three myself, and where theonlyway says;
"I was trying to explain that I didn't know how to "do" AA... how to BE an alcoholic... "
that is exactly how I was/am feeling. Pretty much a carbon copy of the conversation I had with my wife. Sometimes the thought of never having another drink is ok, other times it scares the @#$% out of me.
I found this site the day (afternoon) I wokeup and decided I needed help. I immediatly found friendly and understanding people in the chat room, and talked with GodsSonJeff, who was also at 20hrs or so. Jeff, I hope you are doing okay, as I have not seen you back here.
I guess I just wanted to say hi, and show my appreciation of this network, it has really helped me, and I am looking forward to day 4.

How do I do AA?
I started by attending a meeting.
And it is an awesome adventure.
Why not go and simply listen?
You will not have to seak unless you want.
