Prayers please

Hi everyone. Didn’t drink today…. But I wanted to. Ever since I quit drinking almost 3 weeks ago I lost my roommate . (Well I had to ask him to leave cause he was binge drinking to the point of blackout and saying really inappropriate sexual things to me saying he was going to come into my room ect. So that was a lot. Then my boyfriend and I broke up. I moved to a new state 3 months ago and there were suppose to be several jobs that I was a shoe in for and I didn’t get any of them. I think they hired internally cause I’m over qualified for them and I have a great resume. It’s a major hotel chain so it’s totally possible they were just shifting within. Anyway I’m pretty discouraged. I felt like drinking today. I didn’t. I’m fussy and irritated. I am keeping the reminder that god has a plan and to live life on life’s terms. I’m running out of savings though and I’m getting nervous. Thanks for listening

I hope things turn around for you job wise, AJ. Sometimes it really is darkest, just before the dawn
and, of course you know, nothing would deplete your savings quicker than drinking regularly again...

AJ, you're doing great dealing with these stresses without drinking. It's hard right now, but each day will get a bit easier for you. I hope you have some good luck with your job search.

The roommate and boyfriend things are just growing pains. You're much better off now!

As to a job, keep trying and something will work out, there is such a severe shortage of professional people in the workplace right now.

You're doing super! Stay with it. We are all pulling for you.

I can relate on the financial front AJ. I have a lot debt from medical bills and not being able to work for months earlier this year. It's very stressful and my AV has been up to its old tricks lately, but I'm not buying it.

As long as you're sober, you can and will get through this. Every time you say no to your AV, you grow stronger and it gets weaker.

I’m doing ok. Struggling with some internal stuff … but that is life. Really trying to listen to my gut/soul on some important decisions I need to make.

We're listening Aj - you're not alone and we are totally supporting you to keep sober - because it is the way life just gets better, even if it feels a slow start.

You’re handling these unfortunate issues so well, AJ!!! Please don’t bring alcohol into the mix. You need to be clear minded and drinking will make you feel depressed. Stay strong. We’re here for you.

AJ, good for you for listening to your gut/soul while in the midst of making some hard decisions.
