9 Months clean and what have I learned....
9 months.....damn.....I guess when this was tossed into my lap a few minutes ago I had to stop and think.....
My first thought....The world ISN'T all about me ( OH MY GOD DID I SAY THAT?????)........ When I started putting other people first and me last then me first again I began to realize boundaries.... mine as well as others.....
I have learn that saying no isn't so bad, especially when it devalues me!!
I AM WORTH A LOT!!!!!!! I put a price on me! I found that no man or woman should ever have a low self esteem problem makes me think of Katt Williams in his Pimp Chronicals......He says "it is called SELF ESTEEM bit*he!!!!!! It is YOUR OWN worth!!!"
It is ok to want......but not always get...........
I learned it is ok to lose because sometimes you have to, that way you can feel like a winner sometimes too.......
I appologize means more than I am sorry
I love you doesnt me I have to screw you
I need help doesnt always lead to a closed door
Caring doesnt mean love or happily ever after
getting what you want isnt always a good thing or the right thing or even the best thing
the things that you want the most are possiably going to cost you the most or hurt you the most, but you smile shake it off and roll with the punches...
oh yeah, I found out that everyday I will be grateful for one more day and no matter what I will always love me!
wow...
Pamm
Congratulations Pamm
Not only on your Clean Time but also on your new perspective on life.
Someone else on here is celebrating 9 months as well and I'd like to share my thoughts with you as I did with the other person.
When I celebrated 9 months, I remember comparing it to the miracle that takes place in the 9 months a woman is pregnant. The changes that take place in that time while that tiny egg becomes a life is a miracle.
But, a miracle also takes place in the growth that someone who is truly working a Program of Recovery goes through in this amount of time as well.
It is a Miracle, isn't it?
Life is Beautiful when we can face it with a clear head and not regret the choices we made.
Congratulations again Pamm on your Miracle
Love Ya,
Judy

You have been a wonderful "little sister" since I "met" you here....you are one of the few people I can talk to when I'm stresed, depressed, mad as he!!, and when I get off the phone, I'm laughing and the bad feelings are gone. That's a very special gift...no matter what you are going through, you're there for me and others here.
I am so very, very proud of you!!
Luv ya!
