Welcome to SR Tina, and congrats on your clean time! This is a great place for support, and while it's not the only way I stay sober it does make a wonderful addition to my recovery program. Glad you're here!

How do you figure out what kind of chat to go to..I just logged on to one and they told me to go to this forum and introduce myself?? Does this work differently than face to face mtgs?

Often there are notices posted for the meetings in the chat rooms. Or you can stick your head in and just ask what kind of meeting is being held. The Newcomer's forum is a great place to introduce yourself. You'll find your way around, just keep reading and posting.
63 days is fantastic.
I am sorry to hear about you job. But you can get better.
This forum has been my lifeline for awhile now.
LOTS of wonderful people and support.
keep posting.

Hi Tina - welcome to our recovery community - I'm so glad you are looking for as much support as possible.
I believe there is a chat meeting being held for newcomers tonight at 7 pm - just enter chat at that time and say hello. In the meantime, please continue to read and post here, or to start your own blog. Any questions? Just ask.
There is an AA chat meeting on Saturday mornings, Sunday night AA chat, Thursday night NA chat, and Tuesday and Wednesday night newcomers chat. If you go to the chat section, you will see the dates and times posted. Lots of people just hang out in there even when there isn't a formal meeting - myself included
Hang in there!

Welcome to SR!
I was a nurse for 12 years, got a charge and my license is "lapsed". I have some legal obligations to take care of before I can even begin to apply for reinstatement, then will have some major rules from the board of nursing to deal with.
However, I have over a year clean, and my life is already better. I wait tables for a living, and enjoy my job most of the time.
This site has been a life-saver for me, and I now have friends all over the world! I haven't had one situation arise, that someone here hasn't helped me through it.
Congrats on your clean time!!!!
Hugs and prayers!!
