Hi! I'm new
I'm new here, but I wanted to stop in and say hello. I'm really struggling right now with my husband who is an alcoholic and is addicted to prescription painkillers. I also think he may be abusing other illegal drugs, but I'm not sure. We've been married a long time, but I'm not sure how much more of it I can take. I can't help but wonder if my life isn't supposed to be better than this, easier than this.... So far I've mainly been reading the posts, but I thought I should introduce myself before I started posting much. Thanks to all of you who are willing to share your stories and experiences; I hope I can find some answers and some support here. I desperately need them both.

Welcome to SR makeachange, I hope you find what you need, I think you would find a lot more experience in what you are dealing with in the Family & Friends forum, I would also suggest you investigating Alanon, lots of expereince, strength, & hope in dealing with what you are going through now.
