Hey Dee!!
Haven't been here in a while but saw this thread and had to check in. I appreciate and value your posts. You have affected my life in a very positive way! Please know that you help keep a drunk in Boston sober with your thoughts and kind words. And as they say at the local tough guy meetings, "Ya still can't drink!!" (There's an expletive usually added, but I'm a dad now. Gotta keep it clean.)

You know.....calling numbers at random and asking, "Is Arthur there?.....Arthur Itus?" and then you'd hang up......or the infamous, "Do y'all have Prince Albert in a can?.....Well, let him out!!!!!" lol
Again.....sorry Dee, for this little flight of fancy......I just couldn't control her....Fancy, that is.....whoops, sorry again.

Hey Dee
That's amazing, really well done!! Australia is one of my fave places in the world - Justme and I think Nogard are in Melbourne, what a beautiful place.
Your story reminds me of easter time 2005 we had a community 'do' and I persuaded my husband (non A) that it better to stay in and avoid those 'bastards'! LOL and get drunk at home instead (always was roping him in, poor guy) Anyway midnight came and then I was ready to 'party' - we went and joined them until someone said to him uh-oh I think Cathy needs to go home. I had just fallen flat on my face. So he came to get me, we walked the short way home when I literally fell on my face AGAIN split open my chin, bits of bone floating around inside for months Next morning blood on my pillow, blackout, the shame the horror...took what about another year of that to quit.
Another Easter memory : Easter Monday '94 - rolling car in blackout, flung out the front window, survived, no one else involved, no one hurt, only broken collar bone. Carried on abusing alcohol for about another 12 years. Insanity.
thanks for reminding me and well done on your achievement! In AA we say your first birthday is for you the rest are for AA. I like that give yourself big hug and big pat on back Dee!
