good morning.....er....

I guess make that good afternoon....

I had a good rest, but at what cost? I slept until almost 3 pm this afternoon and somehow have managed to get my clothes packed, and all of my equipment packed and into the car for the flight I'm taking in an hour. I was supposed to have a business day out of my home office. I'm fearing for my job at this point. I am so far behind and so disorganized. To tell you the truth, I think I need another job anyway. This job is far too stressful. The only good thing about it is that when I'm away on business I don't try to drink or do drugs.

My SO was getting ready for a big trip today lastnight. Every once in a while him and a friend decide its a good idea to go on a boat trip in the Gulf of Mexico armed with coke, weed and a liter of whiskey. So lastnight, he went shopping. Brought home enough for us to share a little.

And isn't it ironic that as we were snorting away, we discussed how this is getting to be a problem, that its been every weekend for the past couple of months. How we don't want to be like some of our "friends"---and I use the term loosely. Some of our "friends" are homeless, have had to take out pay day advances, etc. all because coke has gotten the best of them.

I am going to make a commitment to get clean.

Back to square one.....

Sober: about 11 hours. :wtf2

Try to be both sober and productive on your trip.

Hi,

It sounds like you are redy to make sobriety part of your life.

And, changing jobs might be a good idea. I had to make a lot of changes in my life in order to stay sober.

Well, that could be a recipe for disaster.
I hope your SO returns safely from his trip.

Anyways, you might try an AA meeting or an NA meeting. This, indeed, would not hurt your cause at trying to get sober. Goodluck in your seekings of sobriety.

Yea that doesnt sound very wise. Dangerous really.
Please dont take this the wrong way. But you have said a few times already that you have told your SO this is it. The last time. Yet he still brings it home. Does it in the other room knowing your trying to stop.
Not placing blame completely on him. But it doesnt help the situation.
Sometimes you need to do what you have to do to take care of you.
You dont have to hit bottom to know it's hard.
Good luck on your trip and be safe.
We will be here when you get back.
