Hello Everyone...Here we go again

Hey All- Its Monday AM and I am at work. Today is the official start of yet another day 1...this last time I made 50 days...I am experiencing some withdrawals right now....loads of anxiety and emotions...I forgot this part...the brutality of it...the pain....most of all the emotions ....oh, and the consequences for your actions...them too. Please stay close and in touch...I need you people around me now. Thanks...Rob

dear Rob. i understand completely. I'm am going on day three after having slipped on and off the wagon for the last four weeks after getting out of rehab. I'm doing my best to not drink today, and that's the key: just don't drink today. As to the withdrawal effects, they make me think I"m going to die. But I made it thru the first two days and am feeling more human all the time. Just take one step at a time and don't drink today. xoxo:praying

(((Rob)))

My first thoughts before I even finished reading your post was

"This Too Shall Pass"

When faced with just about any situation, I need to open up the Gratitude File that I have stored in my mind. When I see that I have gotten to a place of uncertainty in my life, I realized that I have let some dust build up on my Gratitude File. Blow the dust off and remind yourself that you have survived much worse than this.

This is temporary. These feelings are not permanent.

You said you're at work now.

Be grateful that you have a job.
Be grateful that you can reach out to us from work.
Be grateful knowing that God is right there with you though all of this.

I'll check in with ya throughout the day.

God Bless & Thank God . . . Just for Today,
Judy:ghug2

I'm so glad to hear that you are on day 1! You gotta start somewhere, and the sooner you start, the sooner you'll be back to day 50!
Stay strong! You CAN do this. Keep us posted.
Tay.

Good for you, Rob. Looking forward to those daily updates again.

I like what Serenityqueen said a lot; "this too shall pass." Remember how good it felt to be at day 15, 30, 40? Remember all those posts you made saying how wonderful it was to interact with your kids sober? You went from wandering crazed through the woods to having fifty days sober! I know you can do that again.

Rob, I'm so glad to see you back. Things really are better when you're sober. Even though sometimes that's so easy to forget. We need you here.
