Never fear, the Queen of Whines is here.

My whine? I saw some of my early spring birds today...right before they announced that the worst storm of the winter is headed this way tomorrow.

Somebody please point me south!!!

My whine is that Chloe might not be able to come home yet tomorrow. We have to call the vets in the morning to find out.

The weather is still bad here. Rain, rain, rain. We still have flood warnings until Monday. Some areas have had miner flooding already. Our big rivers are almost to flood stage again. Tomorrow is supposed to be freezing rain so we'll have ice on top of all this. I hope not. My basement flooded some. No surprise. I'm glad i got my laundry done on Monday.

Ok, I'm gonna add my whine.....
I'm so SICK of being sick. I've had the flu since Monday. I thought it was finally gone this morning, but NO! Back on my butt. It is SO hard to take care of an 8 month old baby when you can barely sit up straight!
I wish I felt better! I'm getting super frustrated now. Feel like sreamin!
Ok, deep breaths.......

You may remember that I am taking care of dog #3 for my sister while she lounges on the beach in Florida. This dog is a 110-pound hairy, drooling lab. She's always slept on the floor, never the furniture. But seeing what I allow my own dogs to do, she's decided to follow suit. I woke up last night literally hanging on by my nails to the edge of the bed. With me, on a queen-sized bed, were a jack russell, a beagle, and this huge horse! Also, he's a lunch-stealer! My daughter had her lunch ready for school the other day, with the last of the bread, and the horse stole her sandwich from her schoolbag, baggie and all, and tore through the doggy door and out into the backyard where she could eat it in peace. We took all three dogs for a walk tonight, and I took the lab and the beagle, holding their leashes in opposite hands to avoid dislocating my shoulder. They literally pulled me around the block as my 12 year old daughter tried to keep up, with the jack russell pulling her behind me. Every car that passed slowed to take a second look, as I suspect we looked rather comical.
I'm SO looking forward to a good night's sleep, which I suspect I won't get.

Yup, that's a funny mental image

Tay-lyn, it must be awful trying to look after a baby when you're sick. I award you the "whine of the week" for that one, you deserve an award. Hope you're better soon.

I bought a new spring bag today, just so I could feel a little closer to the dream of better weather.

Don't forget to change your clocks tomorrow night, one hour ahead, for all you daylight savings people. That's one hour less sleep

I live in Canada, we use a lot of "u"'s in words like colour, labour, endeavour, and spell checks that you write as cheques, so anytime my spelling gets challenged I just tell them that I spelled it the Canadian way.

Pattee, the Queen of Whines hereby makes you an honourary (another "u" word) Canadian, complete with new vocabulary and anything you care to add.

ooh we write like that in Australia too!

I love colour, and flavour, and doing people favours when I can! It's wonderful, being able to spell words properly!

AHA! My mother must have had some Missouri roots because she always said "Warshington" and my brothers and I used to snicker something awful.
