Scott, alcoholic and codependent, a few weeks ago I celebrated 44 years on earth, 3 years sober, and 1 year in the rooms of CoDA.

I'm a former enabler/fixer/manager/denier member of Alanon, and am very grateful for my recovery. It's not always easy but I have more serenity these days- which makes it all worthwhile.

lol cmc and why should you; from the place I was born and grew up in (Sompting) to the place I currently live (Tallarook) and onward but really its a commentary on my inward journey. Iin between that I travelled all over the world, lived in a few different countries and my inward journey was similiar I guess. Now I am simply happy being me and being with you, with family and friends and being close to a God of my understanding and all else well thats simply all else

Ahhh.....I was thinking you were speaking Australian again but I 'get it' now- and that's some journey you've been on. I've moved from the Midwest to the South Eastern side of my continent- with nothing inbetween, but my path has led me to a good place.

I am happy to be happy - seriously. I knew nothing when I got here and I thought I knew everything. I did not even know what it really feels like to be happy! I learnt that from you guys.
