High on eight months of sobriety...

I continue to be elated over the changes in my life today...Gaining back some of the things I lost while using has been a slow process...However, these changes have changed my way of thinking...

I lost my home and lived with my son for a year...I felt humilated and lost...

One month ago, I moved to my own home and I can't tell you how much I appreciate this change...

There are so many more...

There have been times I have truly suffered silently with my humilations, losses, fears, and RAW feelings...By enduring these changes, I have become a stronger person...

My success is due to my friendships in AA and by coming here...

For all those that suffer silently in recovery, the reward is huge...Sobriety is wonderful...

Thanks to all of you.:ghug3

Oh Missy, that's terrific.

And, you are so right. We have to deal with those emotions and get through them, in order to be able to move on. There's just no way around it. I am so glad you are doing well!

Ah, but YES!!!

Your post should be required reading for the "I'm so lost" first time posters. Stuff DOES change for the better. Even if just a little bit at a time. That is the message those who are still crippled need to hear. Over. And over. And over again. No matter how dark and relentless life is now, and what huge struggle it will take, life WILL change for the better.

You go girl!

Thanks to all that replied..

I picked up my eight month chip and AA and it was awesome...My feelings were of great accomplishment...

NONE of it would be possible without AA and coming here...
