Need some friends

I am coming from another site, that just don't do it for me. I have observed this place and I like what it has to offer. I had a few years abstinence from alcohol, but went over to a hard drug lifestyle. My days were filled with the obsession to obtain a buzz. I went through a real bad relapse with alcohol, and I am lucky to be alive. My drug of choice has usually always been what's in front of me. I choose to call AA my home, but I am qualified for all recovery programs. I have been super blessed with a sponsor that is freakin awesome. All drugs ran their course on me and I have surrendered. Drugs had the power, and I lost.

Welcome! Glad you found us! I too am an alcoholic/addict seeking recovery. Alcohol has always been there--drugs came in toward the end of my "drinking days." I attend both AA/NA--but it was through NA that I feel that I truly surrendered and started "living the program". Again, welcome to SR! Glad you are here! :ghug3
