i can't find a job
 

i'm 27 years old. i can't find a job. i'm getting quite dispaired about it now. what can i do?

what saddens me even more is if i hadn't of gone crazy (drugs/alcohol/gambling) when i was in high school i guess i could have become a doctor or a lawyer or anything i would have wanted to be. i just never knew what i wanted :(

I hear ya aldo, looking for a job myself right now. It is hard but don't give up hope, something will come along sooner or later.

yeah first don't give up or get into self pity. Maybe widen your options to include going back to schoool and doing voluntary work, helping others to help you :)

Your clean and thats the most important thing. Stay clean and have faith, then moutains will be moved, but as my best friend in NA says be sure to take a shovel with you :)

Nogard is right. Have you thought about going back to school? And, I got my last job at a place where I had been volunteering. You never know what might come along. Keep the faith, I know it's hard.
