Help of a Different Nature Needed!
Folks
My "private messages" folder is nearly full. I tried to download them in each of the available formats. I would like to archive them for posterity.
Problem is, they all download in .php format and nothing seems capable of opening them! Assistance please, before my folder is full.
Thank you,
warrens

i selected the message via the checkbox, then select download as .txt
it will open in notepad or whatever simple text editor you have
from there you can go to file-->save and save it anywhere on your machine

Thanks 29a.
Seems like the issue was with IE7 Pro, an IE add on that I like and run. It also has a download manager that is usually useful. In this case however, it consistently d/l'd the file as a .php file. I know enough to know that PHP is the programming "language" of this and many websites.
I turned off the download manager, restarted IE and the problem went away. I wish it wasn't in such a yucky (.txt) format. .xml seems to be more highly formatted (like html) but I don't know what program might open it in native format. I can open it, but margins, etc are ignored.
Anyone know a program that supports .xml?
Thanks again 29a; at least I have them.
