I did not realize I could edit my posts. Well into day two right now and I really don't feel well. Head hurts, stomach aches and I feel drained. Sorry I will write more later when I feel better. Just giving an update on how I am doing. Sober this minute and don't plan on drinking the next.

The next 2 days will also be difficult.
Don't hesitate to call your doctor or go to an ER
if your symptoms become severe.
Ok...what is severe?

Blessings to you and your family
Go Highvolt.
You CAN do it. And as you can see a lot of people believe that. You have to believe it.
Time spent here is time well spent.
I am on day 15. I look very much forward to slapping you on the back at your two weeks.

one week. I feel a lot better. My wife and I went on a natural diet last Sunday. Combined with the sobriety I feel amazing. The cravings are still there but physically I feel really good at this point. I will make a meeting on Monday. One that I have been to before. I just wanted to let everyone how I was doing. I am going to watch a movie with my son. I have a lot of questions but right now I want to spend some time with my kid. He needs it.

After reading your journey through this posting, I am very glad I have read through your journey so far...It has been a short journey for me so far and have realized that what I am feeling is not isolated. Good luck and hope to read you again.

Highvolt, you sound like you have come a really long way in the last week or so. Well done you, and i hope it will continue!! Every day each of us spends sober is a victory. We are taking control in some way or form.. that is what counts.... It can be a nightmare too yes, but each morning waking up, free of hangover and regret, is too good to give up

No, not done...
Simply beginning anew.
You are way past where you were.
The cognitive, physical, and spiritual do not necessarily evolve at the same time. Give it time for it all to sink in. You have made a choice to become whole. That is a big step. It can be done.
