4 weeks...uncharted territory..questions

Hey All- 4 weeks today...I haven't gone this long in years. I'm still trying to stay centered in the day and not really think in terms of weeks or months or whatever. I need to do it a day at a time. lately I've been dealing with a situation...maybe someone can relate or advise me...during the day I've been really having a lot of physical anxiety...all the usual symptoms..fatigue, fogginess, tired, stomach issues/indigestion, nervousness, gloomy thinking, tingling extremities, shortness of breath...almost but not quite panic attacks...is this normal..related to new sobriety or different? Its frightening me and making me mildly paranoid...any thoughts?

Morning Rob.... Congratulations on your four weeks. I'm sorry to hear you're having such a tough go of it, but your strength and conviction come through in your posts. You should be very proud...

...I'm sure there will be plenty of advice coming, but I wanted to just say Hey.

Yes, I think it's normal to be having a lot of anxiety at the point you are at, in recovery. I know I did. I felt so inexperienced in getting through life's stuff, without numbing it somehow. I do hope things get easier for you soon.

Congrats Rob!

Staying sober is a huge change in an abuser's life. Big changes can be scary.

Keep going!

I had all that too. Just try to rest as much as you can. Maybe look into relaxation/meditation techniques?

Congrats on your sober time Rob, youre doing great!

Like Rowan says ....... great advice here. I'd say if your anxiety and other symptoms persist go see the doctor. It can't hurt.

Congrats on 1 month! Great work. 8
A day at a time is perfect.
