Day 10
Can't believe I am on day 10. I was so sure I'd pick up before I made it to 10. But strangely, I have even more enthusiasm today to stay sober than I did 10 days ago. Thanks to a new friend, I am feeling hopeful and positive about my future sobriety and looking forward to my new journey in recovery.
I woke up today with what felt like a little hole punched through the darkness, letting in a bit of light.
Thanks to everyone who posted encouraging thoughts to me, every little bit helps.

Day 10...who'd of thought?
Hey tay-lyn: 10 days is awesome...I was finally past the physical agony and the psychological barrier of a week by day 10. Plus the whole double digit number thing is cool too. I'm at day 27....seems even more incredible trust me...almost unbelievable in a way, given my history. We've both struggled and continue to struggle...I need to kbnow people like you. I hope you learn something from me....good for you. I'm glad for you. Good luck on the next 10.

Thanks Rob. You're one of the people around here that I think about you a lot, wondering how you're doing. I'm so glad to see you're doing so well. You have been through a lot (read through some of your past posts'). And 27 days is so incredible. Big accomplishment. Good for you. And yes indeed, I do learn a little something from everyone here, you included. One thing I've learned is to not give up. That is what got me to day 10...wow...yeah for me!

I had that same light show through about day 9 or 10 and I was sooooo very happy to see it.
I don't know that I'd have made it to that light without this board and the amazing people here. I'm so glad you've joined us. Can't wait to see you on the 3 month/under board.
