Hi and Welcome,

Two days is a great start.

Take a look around and you'll find lots of support and information.

Welcome to SR. Here is a link to some recovery programs. I found one that worked for me. I was unable to quit on my own after trying for many years. You might find a program useful to you in your attempt to quit.

quitting

I haven't searched it out, but I believe that there's a "quitting" thread going on somewhere in the Newcomers section. I'll have a look and let you know if I find it. I ordered a book (which hasn't come yet, and I don't remember the name exactly--I'm a big help, hunh?), from AA, which deals with the first 30 days of sobriety and what to do and not do. I'm no expert, only on Day 6 (and not my first Day 6, either ). But keep searching and keep up the effort--it is worth it.

2 weeks and under

I couldn't find the quitting thread, but you should definitely visit the 2 weeks and under thread--it's something like for those with less than 2 weeks sobriety and under. And I'll try to get you the name of the book. I can tell you that just coming to SR and reading and posting has been extremely helpful, but you need all the resources you can gather.

Take care,

Jana
