Hi from sunny England (well it is today for once)
Welcome to SR Spen, hang in there in these early days. I buried my head for donkeys years with alcohol, problems don't go away but i would still rather face them with a clear head.
We moved 7 years ago and that broke the cycle of going out drinking with my mates, so i can understand how difficult this will be for you.
We are from down south but one of my brothers lives in Harborne, best wishes.

Spen -
I just saw the post about the Prozac - you asked how long it took to taake effect.
Some of those AD's take weeks to get 'set up' in th esystem. When *I* took Prozac, I noticed a definite difference in only four days.
I hope it's that way for you.
I've taken others that take up to two MONTHS to get 'set up'...
Sorry I missed that earlier.

Nice one Spen!! I am also on prozac and have been for a year or so - it took about 4 weeks for me to really get the full effect and it can make you feel quite odd at first.
But stick with it - I found it really helpful, still do.
Keep strong and welcome to SR, its great here :bounce lol

Thanks for the reply I am feeling awful at the moment. Just feel like I am going to vomit all the time. Had to take more time off work as I did not feel like going up ladders. Did not help that yesterday that I had a couple of beers as felt so racked off. Oh well just have to start all over again.

Bad day today. Feel like hitting the beer big time. Got banks chasing me for money and the mortgage will start to come out again soon. Feel like **** because of the prozac. Feel like telling the missus that she is better off if I disappear off the face of the earth.
Well I had a bad couple of weeks. The only work I had was cash so as soon as i finished I went to the pub and got drunk. Feel stupid for it and nearly lost my family through it so have resolved to try harder. I was offered a new job but the day I was meant to go in I had the winter vomitting bug so they gave the job to someone else.
Well this is my 3rd day in so fingers crossed.
