we can be happy
We alcoholics can find happiness in sobriety! I was running around doing errands with my wife yesterday. I started to think about how happy I've been lately. It is so liberating not to be a slave to alcohol. I realize that life will have rough times. We have been remodeling the house so things are pretty tight financially but it is not stressing me as it did when I was drinking. Our teenager is still a typical teen but I'm able to handle him much better while sober. While life will have its ups and downs I will take it in the same stride as my sobriety, one day at a time. I don't have to think about yesterdays problems, I don't have to worry about tomorrows troubles, I only have to deal with this day. Life is much more simple that way.

I’ve been reading your posts/threads and as of late you do seem much happier, good for you. Why be a slave to alcohol I couldn’t have said it better myself that’s awesome!!!!!!!
