Smile Saturday Morning

Its Saturday Morning here in Australia and I have been back at work for a week after 3 weeks holiday, in that week I got some nasty bug and had two days off, my daughter split up with her long time boyfriend and needs my support, she also told me she has an eating disored which I knew was just waiting for her to talk abou it. She is handling it well. This week the tempature has been unbearble, today is the first day below 100 F and there are many fires around here, yesterday a small hurricane swept through this area and ripped up trees, power lines and anything in the way, my place has loads of trees and I was lucky as onle one tree close the the house lost a large branch, its partly across the driveway so I have to get out there with a cross saw and chop it up (can't use a chainsaw).

And you know what, even in the middle of theis I am clean alive grateful and so glad to be in recovery. I had a few moments in the week when I was doing the old negative chatter but I just talked to my sponsor and he of course realated and had some advice.

Whats amazing about this is that I don't have to have external references to feel good or take any substances, all I have to do is live life to the best of my ability honestly and openely.

Here endeth, whatever this is

Hope your all learning and growing

Off to put some clothes on and chop this branch up, the tree is over 600 years old.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I am glad that you are there to support your daughter with her eating disorder and with the loss of her boyfriend. She is lucky to have you.

I hope you enjoyed your holiday, despite the bug. Did you get a chance to go away at all or did you just relax at home? And, well hurricanes - mother nature and all that. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Kevin!

Great to hear you had a good holiday Kev.

I had two weeks off over Xmas and went back to work on Monday the 7th (not that I've got much work done first week back haha).

It's really good to hear that you're close enough with your daughter that she can talk to you about such personal things. Best of luck with it mate, hope it works out well for both of you
