Today is Shrove Tuesday/Fat Tuesday...we had a pancake breakfast this morning. I'm planning on watching the parade for the Giants at noon.

Doing the best I can for today....... stress is getting me down and I need God to take control...
For now I am trying to stay in the now...... Hope and pray for all you this Month...... Valentine's are around looking for those special people to give their heart...........

Wow.... Valentine's day birthday...... that is neat and something to look forward to.....
My little one and I made special valentine bookmarks out of felt for her class and some teachers....................
I am doing ok for now.... Doc gave me some meds that are making me tired..... not sure that is good.....

OMG...is it a Full Moon? Ground Hog Day has passed...Mardi Gras, too!
I know...it's Chinese/Lunar New Year!
The Year of The Rat...but, that doesn't apply to you my surrogate son, Max...you're such a puddy cat...except when you stay away too long, and have Mama Rae worried about you.
Glad you checked in, my boy! Michael was around not too long ago, I think...I'll have to check the previous posts. He's another one who stays away longer than I would like.

Hello all,
I can't believe this thread is still going. I'm back with my tail between my legs. I've been drinking like a fish, but I know I have to stop. I've just read a few of the recent posts and in a way I think I'm lucky because I'm single. I only have myself to blame and therefore I can't say anybody else "forced" me to drink. I also don't have extra responsibilities to other people. Well, maybe that would help me? I don't know.
Next week I'm going to go back to the States to visit my family and I'm really looking forward to it. I also have a friend who will visit who I hope will become more than a friend, as she is extremely nice, pretty, cool, etc..., but that will be in the future.
I am sorry I am rambling but this is the best I can achieve right now. I wish you all the best and I hope I will continue checking in.

Thanks Rae, I think about you all often myself. I have gotten to the point where I ignore being a drunk. I know this is a path. I also know I am going down it. As a deep thinker I have begun the tricks drunks play with their minds.
I look where I have been, and worry about where I am going. The last time I quit was the month I quit when I first came here.
Facts are drunks cannot drink. Truth is even moderation is not appealing to me.
There will come a time when it must just end. I fear it. I fear the weakness of mind that has led me here.
I'll talk about it more when I check in again. I am thankful that this place is still here.

If you believe this describes the HATZ'ers, I can't disagree; but, isn't it wonderful that we all found each other here at SR!?! Two years is a long time to remain friends and continue to hold Hands Across Time Zones!!!
And, you really have no idea to what degree some of these friendships have been extended. I'm very proud to be a contributor to this thread.

Oh well.... some of us have funny ways of saying Hi.... Guess that means you stone... Cheer up and know that you are always thought of no matter what.......
I am here again and just for the minute.. the sun is out and the day has turned Hot like summer.... what fun we are going to have if I can get that mouse out of the garage that my cat brought in.... All because of the construction going on next door and the walls they exposed for now.... Maybe the mice decided to head for higher ground and escape....... but with my cat they won't get too far.......HA HA HA....

Oh, my...that reminds me of a cat we had. I darned near died the time she caught a mouse and brought it to lay at my feet...like she was presenting me with a treasured gift! Maybe that's why I'm more a dog person than a cat person.

Hello you all...... another sunny day around here and like summer again....
The mice are still hanging out and the cat trying to keep them away the best she can.... Our two dogs have joined the Hunt as well and they are good....... The dogs are Border Collies and like to catch anything that happens to get in the yard..... Funny dogs and good for catching the mice, moles, goffers, birds and other animals such as the nasty posims that climb the fence lines.......

WOW, penguin...sounds like you have a lot of wildlife there. I'm a city girl, myself...so, the "wildest" thing we ever had was an occasional skunk...never saw them, just knew they were around by the smell. Oh, and once in a while a possum or racoon would get into the garbage.
