Sax's update
Sax's update
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted for a while so thought I would do a little update.
I had 70+ days and for some reason I drank, I can't even remember why now or what my thoughts were prior to taking a drink. I didn't drink as much as I used to the first time, I don't think I even enjoyed it but it started the cravings and I drank probablly every other day, sometimes manageing two days in between through most of December.
I don't remember once enjoying any of it, in fact some times I remember the anxiety it was causing was crippling yet insanely I kept drinking. It really is madness, drinking when you don't even want to, knowing that it is going to make you feel worse, it truely is a baffeling disease.
Anyways, I decided enough was enough on new years day and quit.
It's been really hard trying to get back on track after my 2 months but I have six days now. I think I thought that somehow someday I could get back what drinking once used to do for me. I think I have finally learn't it will never be like it was all those years ago no matter what I do. It's over and I have no desire to return to the insanity.

I spent 15 years trying to get the feeling I first got, Sax. That's the con trick that keeps you coming back...it's just not possible - with every drink your body changes...you change.
