OMG...does this mean you finally don't have a hand with which to pick up a drink!?! Rob...if you have trouble "hunting and pecking", just keep reading the posts!!! Can you get someone to drive you to meetings? Call your local AA hotline...I'm sure someone will pick you up. Hang in there!

Glad to see your back with us. Beside SR, do you have someone to help you?

Wow! Glad you made it back, man - sounds like you almost didn't...
Good luck, congrats on Day 4, and please keep going to meetings and doing whatever it takes to not drink any more.
It's an awful thing to say, but I hope this is as bad as it gets and this is your bottom... obviously the ICU/forest incident wasn't, so maybe this is. I know we don't know each other, but I have been reading your posts for 3 weeks now and I feel like I know where you're coming from.
Hang in there mate.

Hi Rob,
Good to see you're in a safe place. I broke my knee once in a blackout which just meant I had to stumble around drunk on crutches for a few months. You're ahead of me on the score. Keep posting if you can, and listen to what the detox folks tell you. Hope to hear more from you soon.

I dated someone while I was in early recovery...one of the more stupid things I have ever done, drunk or sober. He couldn't stop drinking...fell out of bed, and broke his back...was in a full body cast, and still he drank. Some are sicker and/or thicker than others...I sure hope you're not one of those, Rob!
I often wonder whatever happened to that guy...did he ever get sober? Is he still alive?
