Please welcome beyond infinity

I pulled this post from the welcome guests section so everyone could meet and welcome beyond infinity.

This epiphany came forth after a massive drinking binge last night. I'm ashamed of what I've become....but hopeful that I can turn myself around.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi and welcome to SR Beyond infinity!

I can relate to what you write. I'm also a college student who realized that my drinking was a problem. There is hope!! There's life after alcohol. I'm walking in it right now and it is beautiful. Life still has ups and downs but it feels so good to wake up with a clear head instead of coming to after a horrible drinking binge.

I'm glad you are here!

Welcome!

Love your username, I am a big fan of the universe... this is a good spot, I am halfway through a Masters degree, although I have another six weeks before it starts again.

I made it through last year, but only just - drinking two bottles of wine a night was making it difficult. I failed my core subject, and I still don't know what the repercussions will be from that. I do know that I am an alcoholic, and I can't continue drinking because it has been ruining my life. My fiance left me a month ago, I've lost a lot of friends, but I have felt a whole lot better about myself since I stopped drinking 21 days ago.

Good luck, and please read the posts here - there's a lot of inspiration to be had, I have thought about what I would write here if I had a drink... sometimes that's what we need to keep us from starting.

Hi everyone!! Thanks for such a warm welcome
I'm very happy and excited to be here.

Karen--Hi! Star Trek fan?
actually I am Are you?

Hope4life--There is hope!! There's life after alcohol. I'm walking in it right now and it is beautiful.
I'm very happy that you've found and see the beauty of a sober life....I'm holding strong to that hope myself. This is so very new to me and in all honesty, I'm a bit frightened. But more hopeful than anything!!

I am halfway through a Masters degree, although I have another six weeks before it starts again.

Nodrinkingzone--I am halfway through a Masters degree....I made it through last year, but only just - drinking two bottles of wine a night was making it difficult. I failed my core subject, and I still don't know what the repercussions will be from that.
What is your Master's degree going to be?
I am currently in a master's program (clinical psych) but I've realized that even though I like to learn about psychology, I have no wish to practice. So I'm attempting to switch careers and get a second undergrad degree in Mathematics.

You mentioned about eeking by, but failing your core subject....I know it may seem overwhelming at the thought of the failing a class and the subsequent repercussions...but in the big picture, you are succeeding by recovery. I hope though, that the failed class doesn't result in any major difficulties. Everyone deserves a chance.

Thank you Carol and everyone, again, for the welcome!!!
