Life is a A Merry Dance
This week an old friend in England Died. We have known each other for 40 years, lost contact because of my habit and recently made contact again via email. He had been ill for a long time.
I have just come home from a members funeral. He had 38 years sober and was a gorgeous man.
Today is the 1st Anniversaryu of my Fathers death.
I have met a wonderful woman, thats a miracle, I spent time with her yesterday and felt a whole person for the first time ever and I belive it keeps getting better, I have no idea how but I believe it.
Not only am I ok with all this and am dealing with it as part of life. I see this as part of the celebration of Life.

Kevin...
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS....
I do enjoy your posts. I did have contact a long time ago with a lady alcoholic in recovery in New Zeland but we have lost track of each other. She lost her husband while we were posting back & forth but hung on to her Sobriety.
Sad when we lose people and family. My parents have been gone 7 & 11 years now but I still think of them often...wishing it would be one of them on the phone when it rings...we communicated that way most of my adult life because I lived across state from them.
I would love to be able to come to Austraila...my first place was Alaska and we have been there four times...so often because our oldest son and family live there now.
We have two kids and three grandkids that live near us. The other three grandkids are married..one in Alaska, & one in WA & one in Oregon...so don't see them often...busy getting on with their lives.
We have a daughter in Seattle, a lawyer; A son in Idaho, operates a deli..has had own resturant but couldn't make a go with the way the economy is over here..the son in Alaska works in Fort Knox Gold Mine & our son here is a quadraplegic...from alcohol and drugs...suicide attempt...has his own place with two caregivers coming each day..daughter here is in Civil Air Patrol and has a six year old...husband works in the veneer plant.
We keep busy with all of them and do take some days off and do nothing but what we want to. Am glad you met a lady...my Uncle died of cancer and several years down the road my Aunt remarried a man she met at the Retirement Center where she lived...he and his wife had been in college with my Aunt and Uncle and he had lost his wife so they remarried...she was 84 and he was 86 and she called herself the black sheep of the family when she called me to tell me. They lived together first and got on so good...then the marriage...life brings things our way we would not believe if we wait long enough.
