Hmmm - one of the things I often find intimidating about AA meetings is the established cliques and elitist tendencies that can come about. I've never been in with the in crowd - and I guess that's a good thing.
When new I always felt outside the loop. It was tough to break in. Here, with the exception of the men and women only sections you could always jump in anywhere. This new stuff feels kinda funny and different to me... but I won't drink over it.

Mike -- there's no in-crowd here. We're just a bunch of whinners who have lots in common.
The ability to be funny and different AND sober is a great accomplishment.

You're right Paper Dolls. Part of my alcoholism is my insecurity. I always feel like I'm walking around with my fly open and everyone knows it but me. Good thing this is online and not f2f.
One other thing though, - I've been a member here since 2003 and I know I've posted more than 72 times. What? My posts don't mean anything? Maybe that means that's the number of posts that people have actually read! I knew people didn't like me. That's the sites way of saying that I've got nothing to say... I knew it....aaaaaahhhhh!
Just kidding. It's late... I should be in bed...but guess what ? I'm on vacation for 2 weeks!

Ok seriously, I have this phobia about my zipper being down. I just checked. It's up thank goodness. But for real, I worry about that way more than 5 times a day. Someday I'll realize that I'm powerless over my zipper. If it's up, good, if it's not, zip it up and move on sistah!

I think they mean the color of the board. It's blue gray now. I don't like it myself. It's too dark.
I like everything else. I like learning new things on the computer. It keeps me busy and sober.
I got to find some more pictures to put on my photo album. I deleted a lot of them off my computer. But you won't see my mug on there. I don't know why I just don't like my face out there on the Internet. It scares me. I know I'm weird.
