OMG TMI Ro!! I eat about 1/2 bag of seeds every day since I quit chewing tobacco 3 years ago, but I do shell 'em. Now pumpkin seeds I eat whole, so I totally understand what you mean.

Hi Krissy, GT, Dee, Ro, k, Rob, and bye Rella!

I won't be around tomorrow. Chaperoning a field trip to Tombstone with my son's class. So let's see, one alcoholic with 10 kids in a town that's known for gunfights. Sounds like the perfect little adventure!

I know it's not very manly, but I like seeing the Tombstone Rose. That thing is huge but so beautiful!

That sounds fun Astro! I'm chaperoning my 2nd graders trip to see a play tomorrow. Won't be as good as Tombstone though!

Hope you both have a great time. I bet the kid in you comes right out once you are around all those little ones.

i drove from phoenix to tucson once on business. i got sidetracked and pulled off on a side road to wander the desert. i was walking back to my car after about an hour of roaming around and there was a sign about 100 feet in front of my car that said something like, "DANGER! WATCH OUT FOR ESCAPED CONVICTS. KEEP CAR LOCKED AND DO NOT PICK UP HITCHHIKERS!".

there was a prison nearby, i reckon.

is tombstone in between phoenix and tucson? ...

Tombstone is between Tucson and Mexico, further south.

I imagine they still have prisons, signs and escaped convicts yes :rof!

I was driving back to NJ from Texas at the time... I remember writing my aunt a letter telling her specifically about the signs because they were so odd to me. I was pretty afraid to break down or get a flat too let me tell ya!

Most of our prisons are close to the highways, so they put those signs up by all of them. I always wanted to stand by one with my thumb out and a maniacal grin on my face! :rof

I'll bet you always have a maniacal grin on your face Astro ! I bet someone would pick you up too!

I have never seen a sign like that here in NJ though.

Well Gyps I think they have to build islands to house your prisons don't they?
