The high school cancelled all after school activites so my daughter came home at normal time for a change. Now she's in the kitchen baking some snickerdoodles and brownies to bring her culinary arts class grade up. Maybe bad weather isn't so bad after all .

Yeah riiiiiiight Krissy. She was going to make some to give her friend and I was like what has this friend done for me lately? It's my butter over here!

1 2/3 cps flour
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cp room temp butter
1/3 + 2 tbs sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbs cinnamon
2 baking sheets buttered
Pre-Heat oven to 350.
Combine flour, nutmeg, baking powder & salt and set aside.
In large bowl cream together 1/3 cp sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Then beat in egg and vanilla.
Now add dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
Spoon out remaining sugar & cinnamon on small plate.
Roll pieces of dough into balls the size of a walnut and then roll in sugar and place on prepared pans.
Bake for 15 minutes until golden. Cool on pans for a one minute before tranferring to racks.
Variation: replace 2 tbs flour with cocoa to make chocodoodles.
