The high school cancelled all after school activites so my daughter came home at normal time for a change. Now she's in the kitchen baking some snickerdoodles and brownies to bring her culinary arts class grade up. Maybe bad weather isn't so bad after all

Yeah riiiiiiight Krissy. She was going to make some to give her friend and I was like what has this friend done for me lately? It's my butter over here!

SnickerDoodles
aka RellaKrissyKDeedles
1 2/3 cps flour
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cp room temp butter
1/3 + 2 tbs sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbs cinnamon
2 baking sheets buttered
Pre-Heat oven to 350.
Combine flour, nutmeg, baking powder & salt and set aside.
In large bowl cream together 1/3 cp sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Then beat in egg and vanilla.
Now add dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
Spoon out remaining sugar & cinnamon on small plate.
Roll pieces of dough into balls the size of a walnut and then roll in sugar and place on prepared pans.
Bake for 15 minutes until golden. Cool on pans for a one minute before tranferring to racks.
Variation: replace 2 tbs flour with cocoa to make chocodoodles.
