I've tried non alcoholic wine and it's nasty!! I haven't tried the beer-- is it any better? Is it a bad idea to even go there?:beerchug:

That's what I thought.....I'll stick to sparkling apple cider and diet sodas.

I don't drink either. For me it's a matter of taste though as opposed to other reasons. There are so many other beverages that actually taste good .

I'm fairly certain non-alcoholic beer actually has a small amount of alcohol, like .1% maybe... so it might induce cravings.

I'm with swmnk...

Bad choice for me too.. since I stopped I can smell the tiniest smidgen a mile away...and the least bit in my system would no doubt have me "roll" playing in the gutter.....

Trigger's not just Roy Roger's horsie....

Why bother? Like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey...just a tease, as far as I'm concerned. Besides...I never drank for the taste, but for the effect. Not much in "near-beer"!

Yes, indeed it does.
When I was on the wagon last time (7 and half years) I used to occasionally drink a non-alcoholic beer we have here in Europe called Turtal (sp?). It had 0.5%. It tasted just like "real" beer and I enjoyed drinking out of the glass bottel.
However allot of people on here have advised me against drinking non-alcoholic beer and cooking with alcohol and using vinigar. In the end I guess it's a personal choice.
Personally for me it doesn't effect me to consume the above things, but if you think (and be objective!!) it could induce cravings for you stay well away from the non-alcoholic beer.
