Oh yes...God had touch my life so much.
If it's not for all the love and support i got here on SR, I wouldn't
be alive today. I just want to be able to give something back.
Yes, I agree that there's not a right way for everyone.
Please PM me anytime you need someone to talk to.
I will be there for you. I love everyone on SR.
My purpose in life you to help others, I trun my will over
and I'm not selfish anymore . Yes i worked the 12 steps
and found answers. I just want to be able to freely give
away which was freely given to me. No, I'm not perfect
but it's progress not perfection
God Bless
I love everyone :rof

A lot of the responses are just what Laura was lamenting her opening post. It's a shame that those responses have peppered this thread and cast an unsavory pall over it. It makes me especially proud of the path I have chosen.

Good Grief, Charlie Brown!?! Why am I not seeing it that way!?! Are we being "positively negative" or "negatively positive"...are either of those oxymorons!?!
I fear has stolen our sense of humor...Bah, Humbug!

Like I said before, I've been around here for quite a while and I only have positive things to say about SR and the people here.

OK...now your "Big Book Thumping" is even getting to me, and I resent your implication of "false humility"!
Read on to the next paragraph:
Now, isn't that a better (more complete and accurate) message to carry to the newcomer? And, there's not a darned thing wrong with "AA meeting rhetoric".

I think you care very much about helping people. If you were to get involved in a Big Book study, you could set the world on fire. Bear in mind that there was no such thing as an AA meeting until after the big book was written.
I'd like to suggest that since this thread is not about the Big Book and that it is in the Newcomers Forum.............the AA and Big Book "conversation" should be dropped. Please take it somewhere else.

Your right. Showing newcomers the big book and introducing them to AA is an awful thing to do.
