I don't remember who it was, but someone here replied to a thread I started called I'm new and I'm stuck. I used the search engine to find the thread but it has been deleted...
At the time I started the thread I had about 40 some days clean and sober and was having a very hard time with frustration, indecision, cravings, boredom etc...basicaly an inch away from relapse. The reply was "Recovery is not a phase, it's a way of life." That helped me more than anyone could imagine. I really came to realize that I must adapt to a clean and sober lifestyle, not just go through my treatment program and be "cured". Whoever you are you helped to save me from relapse and I can't thank you enough. I now have 57 days under my belt and I'm doing really well and feeling very strong and confident. Thank you.

Congrats Albatross I agree Recovery is a way of life, its not something we do until .... Recovery is our gateway to life through not using one day at a time.

Albatross, the thread wasn't deleted. We very seldom delete a thread and we always tell the member involved.
We had a huge server crash on Sunday and we lost about 200,000 posts. It has been a mess and we are trying to get things back to normal. But, the posts will not be retrieved. We can't get them back.
Congratulations on your sober days and I hope you keep posting and reading.
