PS- You are 30 days sober and you've got some good recovery there.

I'm so proud of you!!

Don't worry about the opinions of others, you know what you are doing is working so don't let anything distract you from that wonderful sense of accomplishment. Everyone in recovery has a recovery plan that works for them but we are all in this TOGETHER.

Congrats and thank you for sharing. I hope to be there myself soon. I have a few questions if you wouldn't mind sharing (or anyone here). Is there a particular diet that helps? What can a doctor do for the anxiety & insomnia of early sobriety and are the medications used habit forming?

I am not "cured", and am certainly not done in my recovery.
Well said!
Every alcoholic is entitled to an opinion...even opinionated ones.

I will agree that there is much more to sobriety than "putting the plug in the jug". But, you certainly have done your research and seem to be living by it. Very articulately written, by the way.

Just remember, this is a life-long process...don't try to cram every bit of recovery into the first couple of months. Remain teachable...and, have an open mind. After 28 years of continued sobriety, I'm still learning...especially from newcomers like yourself.

thank you for sharing the aspects of recovery that so many try to cover up.
