newbie here
Hi everyone. I found this place through google. I'm looking to find answers and support. I got addicted to painkillers a couple of years ago. I had some surgery done on my knee and therefore the doc gave me some pills for the pain. However, I just couldn't stop taking them. The feeling is one like no other. I'm in the process of stopping, but everything is difficult when you're doing it alone. I'm hoping to hear some great rehab success stories. That way I know there's hope.

Hi ambientstar - welcome
I'm in recovery from booze and benzos. 16 months clean and sober - I go to AA, and I did go to rehab when I got addicted to the pills. It took me a few tries, and it was incredibly hard detoxing from them, but I feel so good and enjoy being clean and sober. Others will be along to share. Please keep reading and posting.
