Back again and need support
I'm back again and not to happy with myself.I had been sober 24 days and was so happy and feeling great. Then one day I had a beer, then the next day 2 and each day a few more now I have been drinking for about 2 weeks and today I will try again on day 1. I could use some support here from all the understanding people at SR, who have been there and done that. One day at a time.
Welcome back Destinee,
24 days is great! I suspect your addict voice told you it would be okay to have just one beer. Now, you know to be aware of that voice and next time you can deal with it differently.
I'm glad you're back!

Destinee, welcome back.
I've been where you are right now many, many times.
Did you have a plan as far as how you were going to stay sober ? Did you attend AA meetings ? Did you understand your triggers ?

Toronto guy, I try to do this on my own, Im finding it hard because my husband drinks and the alcohol is always in the house. We do not live near any town for me to get to a meeting and I don't drive.

Welcome back...
Early sobriety was most challenging for me...I had to FALL a few times to get it right...Since I pretty much experienced it all when using, the only option left was death...

Destinee Welcome back.....
Pat yourself on the back 2 times! Once for the 24 days that is great! And the second time because you are aware and plan to do something about it! Be gentle with yourself and yes one day at time......

Don't punish yourself Destinee. I did something similar to yourself. I drank off an on for 2 months after I had decided to quit! You have done it for 24 days and you could do it again! I suggest that you visit an AA meeting in your town or some sort of support group (e.i., church group). This seemed to have helped me greatly!

Congratulations on 24 days. According to my calculations you are not on day 1. You are on day 10.
Peace.
