Bottoms Part 31
Morning day shift and Barb... if you're still around .
Ro please keep your cold cananandian air up there. And the snow too. I hate snow and cold. And I will hate calling the other parents to tell them school is closed... so no snow!!!
So my brilliant idea to get around talking to parents I don't like is to email my demands for holiday/ party supplies. This way no phone tag and I don't have to pretend to be all cheerful and nice like lol. The school sec said she'd get me the list asap.
K...The icing for the cookies is just basically confectioners sugar, vanilla and lemon juice, water with cocoa powder added to 1/2 for the "black" part. So we won't be using any food coloring. That's all I need is the class going home with back teeth from the dye lol. Nope... haven't done it with them yet though. In a week or so I think the teacher said .Thanks for thinking of me... suggestion much appreciated.
*note to self... get some of the black food coloring while it's still around for other projects though. Could come in handy.
I am just about to get my cheaper assier toaster oven packed up with some other stuff we may need for the crescent rolls thing. Need to get organized. That's happening today .
I haven't been keeping up...
have we figured out what vivarium is yet ?

GO MARTHA, GO!
thanks for the definition, row. i feel smarter already.
that gypsy, she's a MOM MACHINE!
i was the brownie leader. we had a brownie leader but she skipped town with all the cookie money (true story). so me and one of my friend's (who had no children) took over the troop. what a mess. the parents didn't trust us with a thing after that first leader - it was guilt by association i suppose. we did it for a year and a half. then, we retired. ha! my friend and i still get a christmas card from one of the girls in our troop - she is now engaged.

Aww....
I am definitely not GS leader material so hats off to you K. In fact I am not even fit to be the mother of Girl Scouts. My daughters did it for a few years until they tired of it... but their troop leaders really were super mom types. Of course these moms only had one child... makes it a lot easier to be one of those elite lol. I am the mom the hates sewing so when they came home with badges, which I guess they give out for just breathing these days (they came home with a handful after every meeting)... I either tossed em in a drawer or stapled em on. Yes, I tried the iron on stuff.. didn't work for me for some reason (idiot probably). So I stapled them. I did put masking tape on the inside of their vests so the staples didn't poke them. Too much. That's a shame about the money thing... someone did that on our rec dept a few years ago. This person still lives in town though .

That's funny, K. My daughter just joined Pathfinders (girls ages 12-15) and goes camping this weekend - she is very excited! Sleeping in tents although it will be just above freezing overnight. I hope her leaders don't steal her cookie money. I may have to call you if that happens.
