Ooops Day 6 - Again

So yesterday I thought I was on day 6, but today I realized that it was last Tuesday night I drank, so TODAY would actually be day 6. LOL

I went to my first appt with Drug and Alcohol counselor yesterday. Her name is Laurie and she ROCKS! It turns out she was JUST like me in her pattern of drinking (couldn't handle alcohol, binged, put herself in bad situations). Now she is a counselor, doesn't drink. She is VERY pretty and stylish and has a good career and made me think "heyyyy!" I can be like that! She also wasnt lecture-ful, which I LOVED. And she had the cutest shoes I have ever seen.

Anyway, going back next Monday. Will try to make an AA meeting this week, thinking Thursday, as I *think* my gram is moving out tomorrow and then I will have more "me-time."

Haven't drank, haven't wanted to, haven't even felt pangs when I walked past the liquor dept in the grocery store. And feel great! Yay!

Well done on making it to the REAL day 6! LOL you're cute!

I'm so glad you're identifying so strongly with your addictions counsellor - cute shoes always help!

glad the appt was positive. it is SO great to hear you laughing and feeling so strong. you've come a long way in your thinking in just a week..
