Hosting my own party - yay ME!!!
I'M CELEBRATING 30 DAYS SOBER TODAY!!!
I was supposed to go to a meeting, but my ride never showed. I was ticked, 'til I talked to her and found out she'd been in a fender bender. Guess I can't be too mad about that or take it personally! Hubby already had a couple of beers and was settled in front of a baseball game, so I didn't want to ask him to drive me anywhere.
Anyway, I'm just a little sad that such a big day for me is going unnoticed on the home front. I mentioned it to my husband, and he was like "that's great hon!" then went back to watching TV. Demoralizing, sure. But it's great to know I can come here and give myself a big "Woohoo!"

30 days!!! such a miracle for alcoholics like us. by nature we want people to recognize our accomplishments. at 30 days i wanted more recognition from my family too! but im here to tell you that if you keep living one day at a time, everything will be much more than ok! keep on keeping on!

What an accomplishment, the only chip harder to pick up then that 30 day chip in my book is that 24 hour one. You deserve a party and we recognize what you have done and are proud of you.

Congrats Wylie,similar time to you myself.After a couple of weeks my wife asked if i was okay without drink,and the other day my teenage daughter asked if i was feeling alright because she hadn't seen me with a beer for ages.Feel like a secret recoverer and understand exactly your position.All the best for the future.
