is it fair to ask mywife to quit drinking too?
im trying to quit drugs/alcohol, and i feel like i need her to quit also, is this fair of me or is it just me being jealous? we have a baby daughter and i know that if i use again it will spiral into our family's destruction, please tell me what you think. she is not a drug user and doesnt drink heavily.

Lead her by your example. If she wants what you have she'll make the decision to be clean and sober. But remember that every alcoholic needs to make the final decision on their own, for 27 years nobody could convince me I had a problem with alcohol.

In my opinion, you can ask her, but don't have expectations. If you ask and she agrees, then that will be helpful for you. But, if she doesn't want to, you can still do it. I am lucky that my husband stopped drinking when I did and we never have alcohol in the house.
